FREE TRIO - Electrical Pre-apprenticeship 

Are you interested in a career in electrical work in the construction industry? You can start your journey toward becoming a licensed electrician in Texas through this FREE training at MAM. Lessons are taught using videos, and you'll also have hands-on practice with Virtual Reality (VR) headsets. The training covers important topics such as the NEC, OSHA, electrical safety, device installation, conduit bending/installation, and wire pulling.​


You will receive:

  • OSHA 10-Hour Certification

  • TDLR Electrical Apprentice License 

  • TRIO Education Certificate of completion

  • Steel-toe work boots

  • Hand tools

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Must be eligible to obtain a TDLR license

  • Must pass a drug test

  • Must have intermediate English and computer skills

  • No criminal background

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

  • Must pass a color vision (color blindness) test

  • Must have reliable transportation

  • At least 10th-grade math skills

  • In good physical condition

  • Preferably young and strong

  • Must be available to fit the schedule and attend daily, on time

  • Must show motivation and commitment to complete the class

Mandatory course introduction: If selected, applicants are invited to attend the mandatory course introduction on June 18th, 9:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at MAM Main Office – 1625 Blalock Road, Houston, TX 77080

Training Dates: July 21st – September 26th
Location: All classes will be held in person at TRIO, 11413 Todd St, Houston, TX 77055
Class Schedule: Monday to Thursday, 5:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.

FREE Electrocardiography (EKG) Interpretation 


Electrocardiography (EKG) Interpretation is the process of analyzing and understanding the results of an electrocardiogram. This training is designed for individuals interested in pursuing a career in the healthcare field. You will learn the necessary skills to process and analyze the results of an electrocardiogram, contributing to the diagnosis and management of cardiac conditions.

This training is best suited for those interested in working on a computer throughout the day.

Eligibility Criteria:
• Must have a high school diploma or GED
• Intermediate computer skills 
• No criminal background & work authorized in the US
• Motivation and commitment to complete the class
• Must be a client of MAM, as indicated by completed Application Form and/or attendance at one daily orientation.

Date: August 7th to Sepetember 6th, 2025 | Final exam the following week
Duration: 4 weeks
Class Timing: Thursdays, 6 pm to 10 pm | Saturdays 10 am to 2 pm
Location: Virtual via Zoom
