Volunteers help adults seek out new jobs and improve their technical abilities. People often arrive in the computer lab feeling lost and overwhelmed by new pieces of technology. With a few kind words and simple instructions, volunteers help these same people feel confident about using a computer, developing a resume, going on job interviews, and maintaining employment.

Volunteer positions include:

  • Volunteer Job Coach

  • Computer Literacy Volunteer

  • Employment Certification Program Course Instructors

  • Employment Services Mentors

Skills or experience required:

  • Basic computer skills

  • Knowledge of internet usage

  • Patience and willingness to teach others
