A planned gift, such as a bequest made in your will, is one of the easiest and most significant ways to help MAM stabilize and enrich families in Spring Branch and Memorial neighborhoods. A bequest leaves a lasting legacy by which others may remember you. Bequests may be made by preparing a new will or by adding a codicil to your present will with the advice of your attorney or advisor.
If you wish to restrict your bequest to a specific program or function, contact MAM’s development office to determine wording that will ensure its use according to your intentions. Charitable bequests are fully deductible for estate tax purposes.

Sample Language for Charitable Bequests to MAM:
- “I give, devise, and bequeath to the Memorial Assistance Ministries, located at 1625 Blalock, Houston TX, 77080 -(Cash bequest) the sum of ______________ dollars ($_________).
- (Stock bequest) _______________ shares of stock of ______________ Corporation.
- (Percentage of Estate) __________ percent (_______%) of my estate.
- (Residuary Bequest) the remainder of my estate.
