AMP - Alliance of MAM Young Professionals

Are you a young adult (age 22-35) looking for a way to be more involved at MAM?

The Alliance of MAM Young Professionals (AMP) is a group of young professionals (ages 22-35) who support Memorial Assistance Ministries (MAM).

Those who join AMP can:

  • Gain valuable experience serving on a committee or board

  • Be involved in AMP Member days-of-service, AMP-run events, and networking opportunities

  • Receive discounts to events such as the MAM Heartstrings Gala / AMP portion of gala

  • Meet other AMPs and invite friends to join at quarterly social gatherings and happy hour events.

AMP is currently coordinating one major MAM project per quarter:

  • 1st Quarter Project is promoting the Matched Savings Program with the Neighborhood Tax Centers over the first several weekends of tax season when the most clients file their taxes at MAM.
  • 2nd Quarter Project will be a children’s summer reading kick off day including a book drive, food, free back packs and including reading sessions with the ESL students.
  • 3rd Quarter Project will be a Halloween carnival at MAM with trick or treating and games. This will be a safe alternative for children for Halloween.
  • 4th Quarter Project will be participating in Christmas Share 2012 including soliciting donations and sorting and distributing toys.

This is a great way for young professionals to get involved with a nonprofit organization and network with other like-minded young professionals.

To be added to the AMP mailing list or to get involved with one of the quarterly projects, contact Sara Rice at 713-574-7540 or srice@maministries.org.
